- You may not always be able to portray yourself as the perfect person, so stay calm and be easy upon your expectations from your own self. Stay balanced, stay composed and stay loving.

- Fill up yourself with positivity. You have to have a positive frame of mind and just in case you do not have one, step forward and do the needful – a cup of coffee with a friend or some meditating may be quite helpful. Your child's mood is a mirror of your state of mind.
- Sleep is one of the key ingredients here. You have to rest when your baby is sleeping, most parenting books emphasize on sleep but a simple reason behind the same is to recharge your body and mind so you are able to take better care of your child.
- Keep radio in the kitchen when you are cooking and as soon as the kids pull up a mess, turn up the volume and start dancing. This will kick your endorphins(these hormones, when released, cheer you up) and change the entire atmosphere of the house.
- Join a club where children are welcome and meet like minded stressed out moms. This could really be helpful in saving your sanity.
- Search for engaging projects for the kids. This will keep them busy and make way for you to relax and keep the house wreck-free.
- Lastly don't ignore the need of other family members. Spending some time listening to, laughing with and enjoying time with your spouse is highly important. If there is an older child in the house, be sure to give them plenty of affection and attention.
