This happens because this is a popular belief that one must not breastfeed during pregnancy. Some facts have been stated below that prove that breastfeeding is not harmful during pregnancy. - Tandem breastfeeding is not very uncommon. One does have to necessarily wean their toddler from breastfeeding when one becomes pregnant. It is totally up to you whether you want to breastfeed both your child or not.

- Some women breastfeeding during pregnancy suffer from tender nipples. To prevent this you can change the breastfeeding position of your baby. This will help you in doing away with the discomfort.
- Some women may suffer from decreasing milk supply in their second trimester. You can take added supplements to provide you baby a balanced nourishment. Since the flavor of milk may change at this time, your baby may himself wean from breastfeed.
- Even if you decide to stop breastfeeding, do it gradually. Take your time and give enough time to your infant to adjust.
Some infants may want to have breastfeed again and again. If you want to absolutely stop breast feed just provide your child your milk in a cup.
