Why do babies cry?

According to many pediatricians, babies do have their different temperament like the adults. It could vary from irritable mood to some sort of pain. • Hunger- Every time your baby cries, does not mean that he is hungry. But for your small infants you need to be sure and check if the hours have passed since his last feeding. Normally when babies cries after they have woken up or when they have had a full diaper, it suggests that they are hungry for sure. And you can make this out when your baby will be calmed after feeding.
• Discomfort- It could be any reason- be it a wet diaper, too much cold or hot or squishy due to feces. When your baby shows the sign of discomfort like crying or gazing without any movement or do not accept any food that signifies then there is something wrong. Try to find the source and relieve him from the inconvenience.
• Irritation- Babies are quite sensitive and vulnerable to many sounds and responses. So if the room is noisy, someone is talking in his raised voice or people are making sounds or rattles in order to get the attention of your baby; it will surely irritate your baby. It is been seen that the grating sound of your mixer- grinder also annoys many babies. In such cases they turned into cry helplessly. Try to keep silence in your room or keep the sound low and mushy as your baby’s hearing ability has just started to develop.

Pain- When in pain, your baby starts crying in a shrill voice suddenly. The cry could be paused in intervals but continuous. And believe me; he won’t stop crying until he is soothed from that pain. He may yield to long cry without any halt and seems restless. In this case, stroke him with care and undress him to find out the source. Just check if he is not bitten by any insect or is not pricked by any sharp object. Normally, babies have their upset stomach in their first few months that results in constipation or ache in their stomach. Try to medicate him as soon as you figure this out.
